about me
I am the Director and Principal Therapist at On Point Therapy in Northcote Point, Auckland. Setting up this practice is a culmination of over two decades of commitment to health education, behaviour change facilitation, and specialist academic study in the fields of psychotherapy, counselling, education, and human sexuality. Deciding to pursue my passion for relational therapies has led to some incredible opportunities, including being one of only a handful of practitioners in New Zealand with a Masters in Sexology, and a qualification from the Internal Family Systems Institute (IFSI).
My practice is underpinned by a sex-positive, person-centred approach that draws from developmental, systemic, and relational conceptualisation. Acknowledging a concern through this lens encourages consideration of our past, internal processes, and interactions with others and the environment around us. I acknowledge how easy it is to get lost in jargon, and actively seek to find a tailored balance between evidence-based practice, intuition, and language that lands.
When not with clients or buried in the latest book on the human experience, I spend much of my time with family
- in particular my twin daughters, partner Kellie, and our Cocker Spaniel, Benson.
I truly believe that thriving relationships are the outcome of ongoing and intentional co-creation with our partner(s), and look forward to a future where seeking support for this is just a normal part of healthy relationship development.
